A Message From Andy Kurth, WNLA President

"Strong relationships help build a stronger industry, and we are all grateful to be part of the best group of folks."

Dear WNLA,

Schools out...for Summer!!  At the end of every school year (no matter the age), I blare that song for our kids on the last day of school:)

As we settle into the rhythms of summer, our industry shifts into a more stable but still busy pattern. The spring rush may ease a bit, but the work, the challenges, and the opportunities continue in full force.  To me, Summer means family vacations, running kids all over...and baseball season.  It's a good reminder that success in this industry is a lot like baseball—sometimes the right approach does not always produce an immediate result, but consistency, discipline, and a focus on the fundamentals win over time.  That's what our industry is all about.

That same mindset applies beyond our day-to-day work. One of the great strengths of our industry is the fellowship that comes with it. Our recent Brewers outing was a great example, and we are looking forward to another strong turnout at our always-popular golf outing.  Strong relationships help build a stronger industry, and we are all grateful to be part of the best group of folks.

At the same time, WNLA continues its work on advocacy...we need to continue to protect what we are building, no matter how the political landscape shifts. We are beginning to plan a field visit with legislators as part of our effort to help shape the future of our industry and reinforce its importance to Wisconsin’s economy. Policymakers must understand not only the beauty our industry creates, but the jobs, businesses, and communities it supports.

Thank you for all you do, and I hope your summer season is off to a strong start.

Sincerely,

Andy Kurth
WNLA President

Introducing Erin Vincent,

WNLA Association Manager

"I am truly looking forward to partnering with WNLA and working together to achieve your goals"

I am writing this on the heels of an amazing evening at the Brewers Outing. I am so grateful for the warm and friendly welcome and was glad to meet so many of you so soon after getting started.

For those I didn't have the chance to meet, my name is Erin Vincent, and I am excited to serve as the Association Manager for WNLA.

I have spent most of my career working in the association management field, beginning in Government Relations and Political Action Committee management, where I supported various trade associations in Washington, D.C. More recently, I have been serving as an Association Manager for several Wisconsin-based associations.

A little about me: I enjoy giving back to my community and volunteer with several neighborhood events and organizations, including East Madison Little League, where I most recently served as the Uniform Coordinator. My husband and I have four children, ages 18, 16, 13, and 10, and a very energetic four-year-old dog named Archie. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, spending time with friends, playing our latest obsession—mahjong—and reading a good book.

I am truly looking forward to partnering with WNLA and working together to achieve your goals. Please don't hesitate to reach out if there is anything I can do to help at info@wnla.net. I look forward to getting to know all of you in the months ahead!

It may have been pouring rain outside, but inside American Family Stadium it was the perfect night for baseball!

WNLA members filled the Par 5 Club in the X-Golf Suites for an evening of camaraderie, great food and drinks, friendly competition on the golf simulators, and a Brewers victory—made even sweeter by a Christian Yelich home run.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the event such a success. A special thank you to our event sponsors for their generous support. We appreciate your partnership and look forward to seeing you at the next WNLA event!
